Course overview

About the C, C++ course

C is the classic first language for building programming logic: it shows you how programs really work, how memory is used and how to break a problem into logical steps. C++ builds on that foundation with object-oriented programming, templates and the Standard Template Library (STL), and it is a favourite language for problem solving and coding interviews.

At ICS Satara you learn both in one course, in a classroom with ICS faculty — C first, then C++ — writing and debugging programs in every session. The course follows a practical, problem-solving approach that also supports university exams, technical interviews and later courses such as DSA and Java.

Who this course is for

  • First-year engineering, BCA, BCS and BSc (CS/IT) students
  • Students who have completed 10th or 12th and want to start coding
  • Learners preparing for DSA, competitive programming and technical interviews
  • Electronics students interested in embedded systems

Prerequisites

None. The course starts from your very first C program, so if you can use a computer, you can join.

Learning outcomes

What you will learn

  • Understand how C and C++ programs are compiled and run
  • Solve problems using conditions, loops, functions and recursion
  • Work confidently with arrays, strings, pointers and structures
  • Design programs with classes, objects, inheritance and polymorphism
  • Write generic code with templates and use STL containers and algorithms
  • Handle files and exceptions, and debug programs methodically

FAQ

C, C++ course: frequently asked questions

Do I need to know C before learning C++?

No. This course teaches both: it starts with C, which builds logic and an understanding of memory, and then moves to C++, so you learn the two in the right order.

What is the difference between C and C++?

C is a procedural language. C++ keeps the speed of C and adds object-oriented programming, templates and the STL, which make larger programs easier to build and maintain.

Are C and C++ still worth learning?

Yes. C is used in operating systems and embedded devices, and C++ in game engines, browsers and high-performance software. Both teach you how programs really work, and C++ is one of the most popular languages for DSA and coding interviews.

Is the C, C++ course taught in a classroom?

Yes. C, C++ is taught face-to-face at ICS Satara, 530/B Rohan Heights, opposite Y.C. College, so you can interact with your trainer, ask questions and practise with guidance.

What are the fees and batch timings for C, C++?

Fees, instalment options and the next batch timings are shared during a free counselling call. Book a free demo or message us on WhatsApp at +91 94232 60203 and our counsellor will share the latest details.

Will I get a certificate after completing C, C++?

Yes. Students who complete the course receive an ICS course completion certificate.
